The former Ghana U20 international was a product at Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord Academy which has now merged with Red Bull Academy under the new name WAFA.

Annan was down the pecking order at Asante Kotoko behind Joseph Addo, Isaac Amoako and Eric Ofori Antwi.

“I’m really happy to be here, it’s always great to be back where my career started from. I couldn’t turn down the offer when my coach (John Killa) called and more for the love I have for the school and I will play if even to earn no money for the rest of the season,” Annan told Goal Ghana.

“Different clubs called me and I had to take the right decision, I decided that WAFA was the best choice. As a young footballer you have to be playing day in day out and that was one of the reasons why I came here.

“My goal is to help the team with the little experience I have to make sure we finish the season well, we have the youngest squad in the league and we going to fight together just to keep the flag of the academy high.”

Annan spent last season on-loan at Real Tamale United where he helped them reach the playoffs stage.
