Liverpool of England rising star, Sheyi Ojo has won sweet words from The Reds’ gaffer, Jurgen Klopp, following a breakthrough performance in Sunday’s 4-1 spanking of Stoke City.

It was a historic day, in which Ojo made his first ever start for Liverpool at Anfield and the highlight of the winger’s breakthrough came in the 32nd minute when he ghosted past his marker before crossing for Daniel Sturridge to head home the opening goal.

While the 18-year-old was withdrawn at half time, he had already made the best of his fifth appearances for The Reds’ first team in all competitions this season, after spending the first half of the 2015/16 campaign at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the lower division, Championship.

In the aftermath of Ojo’s sterling display and assist, Klopp reacted with glee and doffed his hat for the Nigerian-born winger.

The German tactician was satisfied that his gameplan paid off, despite making seven changes to his starting 11 and handing the England youth international his first ever start in the top-flight.

Klopp stated with glee: “He is a good boy; he has a way to go, no problem. It’s more important than if he would have played a perfect game and set a level and everybody would be waiting for him to jump over this.

“After three, four moments on the right wing, to do what he did on the left with the dribbling and the cross was really brilliant and then Daniel finished perfectly.”
