Juventus will demand a world record fee of €160m from Real Madrid if they are to sign Paul Pogba this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Real coach Zinedine Zidane and president Florentino Perez are reported to have made the French midfielder their primary target ahead of the new season, even while reports persist that they could also spend big on Pogba's international teammate Dimitri Payet.

Los Blancos are said to be considering a sale of Colombian attacker James Rodriguez in order to raise funds to spend on Pogba, but Juve's massive asking price will make a deal difficult for Madrid to pull off. Pogba "?has also been targeted by the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain.

Spanish newspaper Marca however report that Real are unwilling to sign Pogba for such a huge sum, despite holding heavy interest in the 23-year-old. The overall fee due to Juventus is reported to be €140m, with an extra €20m due to the player's agent Mino Raiola if the deal is completed.

That report also claims however that Real know Juventus are notoriously tough negotiators - as proven when the European champions moved to sign Zidane as a player for a world-record fee back in 2001. Zidane is a huge fan of the player and is thought to be key to Real's chances of signing Pogba, because of their national connection.
