Joe Hart's Agent Confirms Keeper's Move to Italian Side Torino

"?Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart will be playing his football at Torino this season, the player's agent has confirmed.

Hart found himself surplus to requirements at City under new boss Pep Guardiola. And with the Spaniard's signing of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona this season, he would have actually been the third option, as Willy Caballero had moved ahead of him in the pecking order.

Speaking to "?Tuttosport, Hart's agent Jonathan Barnett said: "Yes, Joe Hart will play at Torino. It's done.

"He has said 'yes' to the club and now Manchester City have given the OK. It's all true, it's certain."

The 29-year-old stopper is currently on international duty with England, but has been given time to fly to Italy to sort his future out. British media are claiming that he will land in Turin on Tuesday to finalise a deal.

Hart is set to be the very first English goalkeeper to ever play for a Serie A club since the league was formed in 1929.

He has been at City for the past 10 years, having joined from Shrewsbury Town in 2006. He didn't establish himself immediately, and it would loan spells at Tranmere Rovers, Blackpool and Birmingham City for the club to see his worth.

A very impressive stint at Birmingham earned him an England call-up for the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals in South Africa. After returning to City, he would be chosen ahead of the experienced Shay Given.

Now on his way to a new adventure in Italy, it will be very interesting to see how the player fares in another country.
