Jack Wilshere Criticised for Bournemouth Switch Amid Interest From Italian Sides AC Milan and Roma

"?Jack Wilshere has been heavily criticised by Sky Sports pundit Alan McInally for making the short move to Bournemouth on loan when a number of top European clubs were interested in the midfielder.

"?Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ during their live coverage of the happenings on deadline day, the Scot believes that a move abroad would have been the best thing for Wilshere's development.

The midfielder's career at Arsenal has ground to a halt after two years of persistent injuries have seen his progress become stagnated.

In a bid to rectify his promising career, Wilshere made the decision to complete a deadline day move to fellow Premier League side AFC Bournemouth amid interest from a large number of clubs.

Reports suggested that Crystal Palace and Watford were also interested in the Arsenal man, who received offers from Italian sides AC Milan and Roma.

Remarkable to think there were 22 loan offers for Jack Wilshere. Puts that debate to bed. Football people still think he's top class. #afc

Wilshere's decision to move to the south coast represents a major coup for the Cherries after staving off interest from two of the continent's biggest clubs, however pundit McInally who played in Germany for Bayern Munich believes it is a worrying decision.

"Go abroad, go and experience something else, don't you worry, if you're doing well where you are then Sam Allardyce will know exactly what you're doing.

"Good luck to him, I just think he should have put himself under a bit of pressure and said 'I'll try this'," he added.

McInally's comments about the England international were debated passionately on social media, with the former player's words slicing opinion down the middle.

Agree with Alan McInally that Jack Wilshere's decision to join Bournemouth shows complete lack of ambition for so called top English talent.

Alan McInally on #SSNHQ is a buffoon. Fair play to Wilshere in a transfer window led by cash, he has made his decision based on football

However the Sky Sports man was somewhat contradictory in his comments about Wilshere after revealing that he believed that Manchester City goalkeeper should not have moved abroad after completing a loan move to Torino.
