"?Inter Milan striker Eder struck a wonderful late goal to send Italy into the last 16 of Euro 2016 on Friday afternoon, as the Azzurri managed to beat Sweden 1-0.
Eder jinked through the opposition defence with minutes left on the clock to hand the Italians their second consecutive win in France, smashing the ball into the bottom corner and past a helpless Andreas Isaksson.
Italy's campaign had gotten off to a fantastic start with a 2-0 victory over much-fancied Belgium in their first fixture, while the Swedes could only draw with the Republic of Ireland before the game in Toulouse.
The Azzurri may have played above expectation against Marc Wilmots' side, but this time around - for long spells in the game at least - it was a different story. Italy lacked cohesion for large parts of the game and struggled to create any noteworthy chances, though Sweden were obviously less willing to leave spaces to exploit in comparison to the Red Devils in the first fixture.

Sweden may have shaded a largely dull first half, but they found it difficult themselves to break down the notoriously strong Italian defence. The Azzurri stepped things up in the second half and the introduction of Simone Zaza from the bench helped matters, with chances starting to come with more regularity.
Italy knew that a goal in the closing minutes would take them through to the next round, and they came closest to breaking the deadlock with eight minutes to play as Marco Parolo headed against the bar. The midfielder got on the end of a beautiful cross from Emanuele Giaccherini and did well to divert his header, but unfortunately for him, it wasn't quite accurate enough.
But with just two minutes of normal time remaining, Eder produced his wonderful solo goal to send the Italians into raptures. Sweden had a last-gasp penalty shout turned down by the referee, but now know they need to beat Belgium in their final group game to stand any chance of progressing.
