Ghanaian winger Ishmael Yartey has expressed sad feelings for FC Servette who have been demoted to the Swiss fourth division for lack of adequate budget for the club's campaign next season.

The Swiss Football League announced on Monday Servette have gone into administration after the club's President announced his side will not be able to raise the required 5 millions Euros to maintain their status in the Challenge League.

FC Servette played in the Swiss Challenge League - second-tier, last season could and could not secure a promotion ticket after finishing second.

And, Yartey who played at the in the 2011/12 season on loan from Portuguese giants SL Benfica expressed sadness at the demotion of the club.

"Really sad news but still remain a great club," he said.

Servette were keen to sign Yartey, 25, before he left FC Sion to join Major Soccer League side Portland Timbers.
