Inter Allies left back Patrick Kpozo is relishing playing for the national team and feels honoured to achieve this remarkable feat.

The 17-year-old is part of the 35-man U20 squad invited for the pre-tournament preparations ahead of the upcoming FIFA U20 World Cup slated for later this month in New Zealand.

The Satellites have won their first three games of the preparations beating Qatar 4-2, New Zealand Select Side 9-0 and Australia 2-0, with Kpozo featuring 90 minutes in all except the New Zealand Select Side match.

He was adjudged the man-of-the match in the exciting match against Australia and feels more honoured and delighted.

“I’m very honoured and happy to play for my nation, Ghana. I must say am very proud of this.”

“I’ve always wanted to play for the national team and to get the chance and even named the man of the match makes me more happy, am highly honoured.”

The fullback who has made 12 appearances from 17 games in all competitions this season for the club says hard work done at Inter Allies’ training grounds has improved him very well and makes him to adapt to the training methods of the national team.

“Without Inter Allies training programmes and hard work, I don’t think I could have made it this far.”

“It looks a bit cool to pass through the national team’s training because of the good training structures at Inter Allies.”

Kpozo has been a very prominent member of the club since his arrival. He had a fantastic debut season last year and was named the 2013/14 Discovery Player of the year during the MTN FA Cup awards.
