Abia Warriors defender Chinedu Efugh has suffered a hamstring and as such will miss tomorrow’s NPFL clash at home against Sunshine Stars.
Efugh picked up the injury during the 1-0 win against visiting Gombe United in a matchday 6 tie on Sunday, forcing manager Okey Emordi to substitute him with Chinedu Eze during the closing stages of the first half.
“No, I won’t play against Sunshine Stars. I’m not even sure of the next game after the match against Sunshine Stars,” disclosed the experienced Efugh.
“I still feel the pains, I may see the medics to ascertain the level of the injury.”
The defender joined Abia Warriors from relegated Heartland. He had previously starred for Enugu Rangers following a move from Mighty Jets of Jos in 2004.
