The Super Eagles of Nigeria will begin their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs, with 10 players already in camp in Rabat, Morocco, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The squad, led by captain William Troost-Ekong, includes Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, Tolu Arokodare, Olakunle Olusegun, Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, Benjamin Fredericks, and Chidozie Awaziem.
The team is expected to be joined by the remaining 9 players in the coming days, ahead of their crucial playoff semi-final clash against Gabon on Thursday at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex in Rabat.
Coach Eric Chelle has assembled a strong 24-man squad, featuring several Europe-based stars, including Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Maduka Okoye.
A win against Gabon would send Nigeria into the African playoff final against either Cameroon or the Democratic Republic of Congo on November 16, also in Rabat.
