Coach of Nigeria’s senior national team Gernot Rohr has stated that it was tough but logical to drop home based players who have been on holidays for over a month of inactivity for a game as big as the Algerian challenge.

Rohr added that it will also not be too good to have many inactive players in the squad.
He said the only inactive player at club level John Obi Mikel still trains regularly with his teammates at Chelsea.
