Wilfred Kweku Osei has also expressed surprise at the defeat of Fred Crentsil in the Ghana FA Executive Committee elections.

The Ghana FA Vice president was one of the major casualties of the elections held on Tuesday.

Crentsil who is regarded as a senior football administrator did not gather enough votes to retain his seat on the powerful GFA board.

He will thus be vacating his position as the Vice president of the GFA in the coming days when the new executives are sworn into office.

And Wilfred Osei who retained his seat on the Ex.Co as one of four representatives in the second tier league admits Crentsil’s defeat comes as a blow.

“A tower has been taken off the Executive Committee,” he said.

“He is one formidable force on the Executive Committee but when it comes to elections, a lot of factors come to play.

“But I believe he has taken it in good faith.”
