MFM FC head coach Fidelis llechukwu says teh NPFL title is not priority for his team but will consider any honor as a bonus.
The newcomers defeated the Promise Keepers 3-0 in Saturday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 14 clash at the Agege Township Stadium in Lagos.
llechukwu said his side’s mission in the top flight is to avoid relegation first and foremost though any other achievement will be considered a plus.
“Our target in the top flight is first and foremost to avoid relegation not to win the league shield as I do not want to put myself under unnecessary pressure.
“I’m not fighting for the league trophy, I just want to continue playing our normal game and chance getting the desired result.
“However, if we are able to win a continental ticket at the end of the day we will be exceedingly happy.
“Right now our focus has shifted to the next match at Lobi Stars after we have accomplished the task against Akwa United.
“We are happy with the massive win hoping we will continue to produce wonderful result in other matches,” said llechukwu to supersport.com.
