Samsunspor Club President Yüksel Y?ld?r?m spoke to the press following his team’s 3–2 defeat at RAMS Park, using the opportunity to praise the outstanding influence of Galatasaray’s Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Osimhen once again proved decisive, delivering the winning goal with a spectacular overhead kick.

With the match level at 2–2 going into stoppage time, Osimhen produced a moment of brilliance in the 90+2nd minute, putting Galatasaray ahead 3–2 and securing all three points for the defending champions.

The goal capped a standout performance from the 26-year-old forward, who has now scored five goals in 11 Süper Lig appearances this season. He also boasts six goals in the UEFA Champions League, bringing his overall tally for the campaign to 11.

"My ears were blocked while watching the match in the second half. The Galatasaray fans were trying to stop Samsunspor with incredible whistling. Samsunspor asserted their dominance in the second half. We could have scored. We missed chances.

"If we're going to lose, let's lose like this.'" Then, in the 88th minute, we got the goal we were waiting for. We brought the score from 2-0 to 2-2. We thought the match would end like this. Then Victor Osimhen showed why he's an €80 million player. No one else in Türkiye could have scored that goal", he added.

This latest result marks Galatasaray’s ninth consecutive victory against Samsunspor, setting the record for the longest winning streak against a single opponent in Süper Lig history.
