Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles bounced back from defeat against Cote d’Ivoire by beating bitter rival Ghana 4-3 to qualify for the semi-final of the ongoing Africa Beach Soccer tournament at the Eko Atlantic Beach in Lagos.

 Both teams ended the first quarter goalless, but the goals started pouring in few minutes into the second quarter. Ogbonna Emeka broke the deadlock, Ghana later equalized few minutes after.

Also, Ghana took the lead, but Nigeria also leveled few minutes after in the same quarter. Suleiman Ogodo made it 3-2 from the penalty spot for Nigeria, but the Ghanaian side responded almost immediately.

Victor Tale scored the winning goal towards the last minute of the third quarter to give the Audu Adamu Ejoor tutored side a hard-fought win against their West African rival, Ghana in the epic encounter. Nigeria’s Emeka won the Pepsi man-of-the-match award in the game.

In the early games of the day, defending champion, Madagascar crash out after losing to Morocco, while Egypt defeated Cote d’Ivoire 4-2 to advance into the semi-finals of the biennial African beach soccer fiesta.
