The Disciplinary Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation yesterday slammed a five year ban on leader of the NFF splinter group, Mr. Christopher Giwa and four members of his group.
Others also caught in the web of the ban are Muazu Suleyman, Yahaya Adama, Sani Fema and Johnson Effiong, who have each been handed five year ban from taking part in any football related activity.
Beside the ban, meeting, which was attended by Prof. Olufemi Adegbesan, Adamu Sani Osmond, Kelvin Omuojine, and Christian Emeruwa, also upheld the decision of the LMC as contained in the Summary Jurisdiction Notice of 28th April, 2016 which ordered Giwa FC to pay a fine of N2,000,000 (Two Million Naira Only) to the LMC, 650,000 to offset the expenses of the match officials to the LMC, N1,000,000 (One Million Naira) Only to offset the expenses incurred by Rangers International FC and to lose the said match which was abandoned in the 74th minutes.
Also in the match between Giwa FC and Wikki Tourists, the Committee ruled that Giwa FC shall forfeit to Wikki Tourists FC the three points as well as three goals arising from the match and shall pay a fine of N250,000 (Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira Only) being the sum of expenses including stadium hire, security and logistics incurred in respect of the match to the LMC.
Similarly, the Disciplinary Committee of the Giwa group also announced yesterday, a seven year ban on Amaju Pinnick and seven of his board members from taking part in any football related activity
