Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria has commended Nigeria Football Federation over its decision in hiring Gernot Rohr as technical adviser of the Super Eagles, saying that the decision has been justified within a short time of being in charge.

It urged the football house to ensure an enabling environment towards Nigeria’s qualification for the 2018, World Cup and 2019 AFCON.

Pinnick In a communique issued by the body after their National Executive Council Meeting held recently at Royal Tropicana Hotel, Kano,YSFON noted that Nigerians/stakeholders of the game should rally round the Federation to build a team Nigerians will be proud of.

Meanwhile the body also expressed concern over  the poor state of the joint YFON, Nigeria Navy Academy in Calabar and has set up a 7-man committee to look into it and come out with a blue print to the National Working Committee on how to turn it around.

The session also endorsed the relocation of its headquarters from Lagos to Abuja with the Lagos office becoming the liaison office even as it reconstituted the constitution review committee made up of seven members with mandate of three months to submit its report.
