Gombe United have appointed former Flying Eagles coach, Manu Garba, as their new head coach.
The Desert Scorpions are back in the top flight after securing promotion on the final day of the Nigeria National League following an away win against Supreme Court. Garba will be assisted by Hassan Abubakar who led the club to promotion from the NNL.

Garba guided the Nigeria U-17 side to win the FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in 2013. The 51-year old rejected a move to Giwa FC two seasons ago.
