The Ghana FA says it is aware of persons going round badmouthing the association to influential personalities in government including the President John Mahama.
Relation between the Ghana FA and the state through the Sports Ministry has been strained in recent years over perceptions of corruption within the country’s football governing body.
The cordial relationship that exist between the GFA and the Sports Ministry as a consequence is increasingly getting and having an effect on the management of the various national teams.
Ghana FA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara has revealed the association is well aware of the wrong information being peddled of his outfit to key government functionaries.
“We hear all kinds of gossip about the Ghana FA even to the highest level in government,” he said.
“People go round gossiping about the GFA and making false and baseless claims all over.
“That management of the national teams should be taken away from the GFA and all that, we hear all that.”
