Former Technical Adviser of Plateau United, Coach Zakary Baraje has said he resigned from the club because he does not want to be surprised by the management.

Speaking to Daily Trust yesterday, the veteran gaffer said he had a one year contract with the club but after the expiration of the contract, nobody approached him for further discussion.

He therefore said in order to avoid any disappointment or surprise, he decided to quit because he does not know what the management of the club has in mind.

The widely travelled coach however said if at the end of the day Plateau United decide to come for him again, they will still discuss and if the terms are alright, he would not mind returning to his position.

"It is true that I have resigned from Plateau United. I took that decision because I had only one year contract with the club. My contract has expired but nobody has come forward to discuss with me.

"So in order not to be surprised by anyone, I decided to quit. However, if they decide that they want to discuss with me, we shall meet and negotiate. If the terms are acceptable, we shall work together again," he said.
