Algeria coach Georges Leekens has announced a 23-man roster for the World Cup qualifying match against Nigeria, including four footballers who ply their trade in the domestic championship in the squad list.

The home-based players include goalkeepers Malik Asselah (JS Kabylie), Chemseddine Rahmani (MO Bejaia) and defenders Houari Ferhani (JS Kabylie), Mohamed Khoutir Ziti (ES Setif).

The former Belgium and Tunisian manager has invited two more foreign-based professionals in the shape of Jean Mehdi Tahrat (SCO Angers ) and Sofiane Hanni (RSC Anderlecht ) following the injury sustained by Bordeaux midfielder Adam Ounas in a league game against Marseille on Sunday.

In the 74th minute of the meeting at the Stade Vélodrome, the ex-France youth-teamer had to be substituted after feeling pain in his leg and is expected to be on the sidelines for some weeks.

The 23-man list consists of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, seven midfielders and five attackers .
