Akwa United could revive their interest in Enyimba duo; Mfon Udoh and Ezekiel    Bassey.

The Promise Keepers were keen on  bringing back the duo to the club last season but failed as both Udoh and Bassey decided to  remain with the then Nigeria Professional Football League champions.

They are now set to swoop for the forward and winger again as they seek to bolster their squad ahead of next season.

Udoh enjoyed a prolific spell with the Uyo- based side in the 2012/2013 season scoring 17 goals before making the switch to  Enyimba the following season where he scored 23 goals, the highest number by any individual in a single season in the Nigerian top flight.

Bassey also impressed with Akwa United before joining Enyimba few seasons ago.

The 2015 Federation Cup champions   are looking to re organise their squad after a disappointing campaign which saw them finishing in 14th place in the NPFL table.

Meanwhile, the management of Akwa United have already placed nine of their players in transfer market due to indiscipline.
