AJ Auxerre have secured the services of Swiss defender Bryan Okoh from Lausanne Sport, with the 22-year-old signing a contract running until June 2029, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Born in Houston, United States, Okoh began his football development in Switzerland before moving to the Red Bull Salzburg academy, where he progressed through the ranks and gained his first professional experience with FC Liefering in Austria’s second division. He made 70 appearances for Liefering and featured three times for Salzburg’s senior side.
Last summer, Okoh returned to Switzerland with a move to Lausanne Sport, enjoying a productive spell. This season, he has made 29 appearances across all competitions, including ten in European competition, showcasing his defensive prowess.
A left-footed centre-back standing at 1.91 metres, Okoh is highly rated as one of Switzerland’s top defensive prospects. He has represented Switzerland at every youth level, from U15 through to U21, highlighting his consistency and potential on the international stage.
Set to wear the number 24 shirt, Okoh now embarks on a new challenge in Ligue 2, testing himself in a third domestic league as he joins Auxerre ahead of the second half of the season.
