Ikpeme likely to replace embattled Sanusi as NFF secretary

A new scribe of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in the person of Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme, may be appointed to replace Mohammed Sanusi, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

The news according to the Guardian newspaper comes after Sanusi was declared persona non grata by the Nigeria Sport Ministry a couple of days ago.

“Apart from being the most senior officer next to Sanusi in the NFF, the sports ministry recently appointed Olumide Bamiduro as secretary of the Interim Management Committee of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL). Both Bamiduro and the IMC Chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye, are from the Southwest geopolitical zone,” the source added.

 

It is widely believed that the letter to FIFA by Sanusi to call the Sport Ministry to order after what seemed like an interference from the ministry.
