Iheanacho Scores In Leicester City Defeat To Udinese; Ndidi, Musa Also In Action

Nigeria forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, scored in his first pre-season appearance for Leicester City who went down to a 2-1 defeat against Italian side, Udinese at the Wörthersee Stadion, Klagenfurt on Saturday.

Iheanacho, who started the game on the bench joined the fray alongside his international teammates, Wilfred Ndidi and Ahmed Musa on the half hour mark.

It was also the first pre-season outing for Ndidi and Musa, who like Iheanacho resumed pre-season duties with the Foxes last week after representing Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Kevin Lasagna put Udinese ahead in the 4th minute, while Darwin Macchis netted the second in the 23rd minute.

Iheanacho got Leicester City’s consolation goal a minute from time.

The striker held off two defenders before slotting the ball home after he was set up Ricardo Pereira following a fine counter attacking move.
