Iheanacho Bags Assist In Leicester Defeat To Everton, Success Loses With Watford

Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, bagged an assist in Leicester City’s 2-1 home defeat against Everton at the King Power Stadium, on Saturday. Everton took the lead in the 7th minute of the encounter through Brazilian forward, Richarlison. The hosts fought their way back into the game five minutes before the break courtesy of a fine strike by Ricardo Pereira who was set up for the goal by Iheanacho. Leicester City were reduced to 10 men in the 63rd minute when Wes Morgan was sent off for a second bookable offence. Iceland midfielder, Gyfil Sigurdsson netted the winning goal for Everton in the 77th minute. Iheanacho was replaced by Englishman Marc Albrighton in the 67th minute. His international teammate, Wilfred Ndidi was on for the entire 90 minutes in the game. At the Vicarage Road Stadium, Watford, Super Eagles forward, Isaac Success failed to rescue Watford who fell to 4-0 home defeat against Bournemouth. Success took the place of Andre Gray who beat him to the Watford goal of the month award for September in the 55th minute. Joshua King (brace), David Brooks and Callum Wilson got the goals for Bournemouth. Eric Dier netted the decisive goal as Tottenham Hotspur recorded a 1-0 home win 10-man against Cardiff at the Wembley Stadium, London.
