Nigeria striker Brown Ideye has praised his Malaga teammates for ending their winless run with a hard-fought 1-0 win against visiting Villareal in Sunday’s Spanish LaLiga game.
Going into the game, bottom-placed Malaga had failed to win their last 13 league games.
They had suffered 10 defeats and drawn three before the win against Villareal.
Gonzalo Castro was the hero for Malaga as he converted a 37th minute penalty.
In action for Malaga was Watford on-loan Nigeria forward Isaac Success who was later replaced.
Ideye, who however was not included in Malaga squad for the game against Villareal, wrote on his Twitter handle:”Great job guys, Malaga CF.”
Malaga still remain bottom on 17 points in the league table.
