Ibrahim Olawoyin seals win for Rizepor

Nigeria's Ibrahim Olawoyin started his 2024 on a fine note after scoring a goal for Çaykur Rizepor in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The former Enugu Rangers midfielder scored the second goal as Rizepor defeated Fisayo Dele-Bashiru's Ataka? Hatayspor at the Çaykur Didi Stadium.

Dal Varesanovic opened score for Rizepor in the 19th minute of the game sending the home fans into a frenzy which lasted till the end of the half.

The second half kickstarted cagey with the two sides keeping each other at bay until the 83rd minute when the second goal was scored.

Olawoyin was at the right place at the right time to tap the ball in with his left foot from close range following a cross by to put the game beyond the visitors.

The goal takes his tally to 3 after 17 matches this season.

The win takes  Rizepor to 5th with 29 points.
