Enyimba head coach, Olarenwaju Yemi has revealed the mental state of his players since the nerve recking and drama filled title decider against eventual Nigeria Premier Football League winners, Enugu Rangers, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The NPFL matchday 35 encounter in Enugu apart from being a derby (Oriental Derby) was the a top of the table class as the People’s Elephant trailed by two points.

Enyimba in the additional minutes of the encounter walked off the pitch in protest to what the referee’s decision of a penalty awarded to awarded opposition.

Three points was eventually awarded to Rangers with Enyimba and their players paying multiple fine.

The club since then has struggled amassing just a point from possible six.

Coach Yemi after their 2-1 defeat to Sporting Lagos on Sunday revealed how difficult it been for the players since their unfortunate experience:

”The past tow games have been hell.” Said the young tactician.

“The breakdown we had after rangers game, it is disappointing that we couldn’t recover mentally because we could still see this is not the team that has been playing all season.

”Honestly speaking, we are struggling mentally, I’m not really happy.”

Enyimba currently sit third on the league table and a win on the last day will guarantee the team a continental ticket
