Helsingborg midfielder Ema Boateng wants to become a medical doctor when he calls time on his career.

The promising Ghanaian youngster who plays for the Swedish side wants to exchange the boost with the stethoscope.

“My goal is to continue to be a doctor, but it is perhaps more realistic that it becomes something that does not take as long," Boateng is quoted by HD

“There are well-trained doctors in my country but far fewer than needed. The system is wrong. My goal is to help.

“If even I don’t become a doctor I want to be something that can help health care in my country. I am where I am because my country made possible through parents, teachers and friends,” Boateng said.

The former Right to Dream Academy product holds a degree.
