Golden Eaglets to undergo MRI test in Algiers

The Nigeria U-17 ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will undergo the mandatory MRI test right in the host country, Algeria today, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The test is meant to determine if truly the young lads are within the age limit and if any is above, the player will be dropped from the team.

If four or more played in a team is found to have failed the MRI test, such national team will be evicted from the tournament.

The Golden Eaglets will play all their group games at the Mohamed Hamlaoui Stadium, Constantine.

The team arrived in Algeria on Sunday evening and had their first training session at the training pitch of the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers on Monday.

Nduka Ugbade’s side will face Zambia, Morocco and South Africa in Group B.
