The Federation Cup fully lived up to its character of surprises and more surprises with another NPFL club, MFM of Lagos made to sweat before eliminating El-Kanemi Babes of Maiduguri on penalties in Kaduna.

Elsewhere, FC Ifeanyi Ubah defeated Ebonyi United by a goal to nil, courtesy of a stoppage-time goal scored by Bello Koformata.
