Ghanaian striker Jonathan Opoku has made history by becoming the first person in NINE YEARS to score four goals in one match for Dutch second tier side Oss.

The Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Opoku took his goal-scoring to another level in Holland as he scored four times in a single for FC Oss in their 4-1 win over RKC Waalwijk on Monday night.

Opoku equalled the mark by Oss striker Marcel van der Sloot who scored four times in a match in 2006.

"Jonathan Opoku is the first player of Oss to have scored 4 times in a First Division match since Marcel van der Sloot in 2006," football statistics agency Infostrada Sports NL tweeted.

Opoku, 24, raced the host into the lead with a clinical 10th minute strike before adding the second four minutes into the second-half.

The visitors tried to stage a comeback by scoring a consolation on the 53rd minute mark but Opoku restored the two-goal advantage by scoring ten minutes later to reach a hat-trick.

The game needed no more time before the in-form striker to score yet another goal as he grabbed his fourth goal of the night by scoring in the 69th minute.

Opoku has now taken his league tally to 16 goals from 29 games.

Opoku can play for Ghana without needing a nationality switch as he has not played for the Dutch national team.

He was born 24 years ago to a Ghanaian father and a Dutch mother in Zuphen, Holland.

Opoku played for lower division side FC Veendam before joining Oss in the summer of 2013.
