Ghana star Andre Ayew grabbed his sixth league goal of the season on Friday night after scoring for Olympique Marseille in their 6-1 demolition of Toulouse in the French Ligue 1.

Ayew, 25, registered his name on the scoring sheet by scoring in the 78th minute after playing part in two previous goals in the encounter.

Marseille had already put the game to rest before the end of the first 45 minutes as they led Toulouse 4-0 with Belgian international Michy Batshuayi Tunga scoring a brace to add to Baptiste Aloe and Francois Moubandje own-goal.

Though Toulouse reduced the deficit after the break by pulling a goal back, Andre Ayew restored the four-goal advantage for Marseille by clinically scoring a goal.

Andre artfully controlled a deflected ball inside the box before coolly firing a low shot between the legs of the Toulouse keeper.

Marseille added the another goal through Andre-Pierre Gignac.

Ayew, Marseille's player for last month, had his performance on the night drew standing ovation from the entire stadium including Toulouse fans.
