Ghana forward Kwesi Appiah scored a treble for Crystal Palace's U21s in their 4-2 victory over their Leeds United counterparts on Tuesday afternoon.

The 24-year-old, who was a revelation for Ghana at the AFCON 2015 tournament, raced Palace into lead with a brilliant 3rd minute header.

But his goal was cancelled out as Leeds grabbed an immediate equaliser when Stokes' shot was diverted past Kettings by Skelton.

It took just two minutes for Appiah to restore the lead for Palace as when Garvan played in Appiah, and under pressure found the bottom corner from 18 yards out.

Four minutes into the second-half Appiah completed his hat-trick with a cool finish after being played in by Garvan once again.

The visitors pulled a goal back midway through the second-half.

Appiah has not broken into the Crystal Palace first team squad despite shinning for Ghana at the 2015 AFCON tournament where he helped Ghana to finish second.

While Appiah was embarking on his heroics, his fellow English-born Ghanaian Hiram Boateng was also in action for Palace.
