Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila was again influential as Kuwaiti side Al Qadsia recorded a narrow 1-0 victory against Al Wihdat in the Asian Champions league.

The on loan Mamelodi Sundowns defender played full throttle in what turned out to be his most testing game since he joined the Kuwaiti giants a little over a month ago.

Sumaila was involved in the build-up to Dhari Said 59th minute solitary strike which was enough to send Qadsia through to the next round of the competition.

The victory means the former Asante Kotoko defender is yet to taste defeat since joining the Yellow and Blacks.
