Defender Daniel Amartey believes Ghana played its toughest group game against Senegal on Monday.

The Black Stars suffered a 2-1 defeat against the Lions of Terranga in their opening Group C match at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Mongomo.

The defeat now leaves Ghana with an uphill task on Group C as they now have to win all their remaining games against Algeria and Senegal to progress in the tournament.

But Amarety who was only making his debut in the Nations Cup believes the Black Stars have come off their biggest challenge in the group and expects relatively easier opposition in Algeria and South Africa.

“Algeria is a very good team but just like today, everybody thought Ghana is a good team and we lost,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“I don’t think it [game against Algeria] will be difficult for us.

“I think Senegal will be our most difficult game.”
