Ghana coach Avram Grant says he can never be relaxed after leading his team to over achieve at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Black Stars recovered from a disastrous start to the competition in Equatorial Guinea to make it all the way to the grand finale where Cote d’Ivoire awaits.

Grant who was appointed Ghana coach only six weeks to the tournament was tasked to simply ‘do well’ with the side to provide a strong foundation for Nations Cup success in 2017.

But the former Chelsea boss has managed to get his side into the position to win the tournament ahead of time.

Grant is however not reneging on his instant success with the side and says he will not relax at least until after Sunday’s final.

“A coach can never be relaxed but I am very happy [for progress to finals],” he said.

“I am very happy from the beginning when I saw the players at the training camp.

“I didn’t know them, I didn’t know how they would react after we lose games and I must tell you these players are great – the people around the team are doing a good job.

“I am very happy, we came to the final – we deserve to be in the final.

“In my job I can never be relaxed but there are moments when you feel very happy and this is one of those moments.”
