Flight Hitches Stall Flamingoes Departure

The home bound Flamingos failed to make the trip back to Nigeria yesterday due to flight hitches.Nigeria crashed out of the World Cup in the group stages on Saturday after falling 3-0 to Korea DPR and picking only 1 point in from a possible 9.

They were expected to arrive Abuja through Dubai on Monday but could not get a connecting flight as expected.

Footballlive.ng can confirm that world football governing body, FIFA had to pay for accomodation lastnight as the players and officials lodged at the Dubai International Hotel and were scheduled to depart Dubai via Terminal 3 of the Dubai International on the Emirates Flight EK785 at 10.45am( 7.45am Nigeria time) as they embark on a 7hr, 15mins trip to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport in Abuja.

Their new arrival time is 2:47pm
