Nigeria striker Kehinde Fatai has been picked as one of the best strikers in the Czech Republic for last year by the international scouting network Instat.

The 25-year-old Fatai, who has been capped by Nigeria at U20 and U23 levels, scored a total of 12 goals in 27 appearances in 2015 for Czech club Sparta Prague.

His average shooting percentage is 65%, passing 70% and dribbles 52%.

His best three matches for the past year – Prague 3 Teplice 1 (November 8, 2015), Schalke 2 Prague 2 (October 22) and Prague 2 CSKA 3 (August 5)

The special scouting report described Fatai as "Prague’s goals machine".

The former JUTH FC of Jos star is widely seen as ‘The New Wilfried Bony’ at Prague after the Manchester City striker, who featured for the top Czech club between 2008 and 2011.

“He is a very fast player who could be the only striker upfront or in various formations – 4-4-2, 4-3-3 and 3-5-2,” said Prague assistant coach Stanislav Heikal.

“He is a good finisher who proved his class in the European matches against Schakle 04 and CSKA Moscow.

“He has adapted quickly to the culture of his new country.”

“He puts defences under pressure from a good part of the pitch,” according to the Instat scouting report.

“He is a very versatile striker, who could adapt to different tactical formations. He could also play a pivotal role in his team’s counter attacks.

“He has been one of the leaders of his various European clubs. He has adapted quickly to Czech Republic and the language.”

Fatai has played most of his club football in Romania since he moved there as a 17-year-old. He also played on loan at Belgian club Club Brugge.

His Sparta Prague contract ends on June 30, 2018.
