Famous BBC journalist Farayi Mungazi tips Ghana to win 2015 AFCON title
Black Stars will win the 2015 AFCON says Mungazi

Famous but controversial BBC Africa Football editor Farayi Mungazi has surprisingly made a -U-turn by stating categorically that Ghana will win the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations trophy.

The Zimbabwean astute journalist, who is known for not supporting the Black Stars in tournaments, made the claim on his return to work after the Christmas and New Year break.

Mungazi, who is highly respected across Africa for his style, made the dramatic u-turn in his posting by stating that the Black Stars will win the tournament even though hopes are faint.

The team has been struggling since the World Cup in June last year and have been placed in the Group of Death in the tournament in Equatorial Guinea.

Despite that, Mungazi is confident that the Black Stars will overcome their difficulties to win the competition.

My big prediction of 2015: Ghana's Black Stars to win the Africa Cup of Nations. You heard it here first!," Mungazi wrote on Twitter.

Ghana have not won the Africa Cup of Nations title since their last title success in 1982 in Libya which was their fourth trophy.

Mungazi is mocking the blackout stars. They have never ever won afcon with 16 teams at the tornament and they don't have what it takes to win. Looking at how Uganda outplayed ghana home and away in the qualifiers, speaks volume that Ghana will bow out in the first round.

Uganda had the same Zambia syndrome, focusing only on ghana and got burnt by other group c opponents!! By the way, what this guy says doesn't change nothing cuz these so called experts are as lay as the ordinary man on the streets! Anytime, we go for a toutnamemt and touted as favorites, we disappoint and thats why we should consider ourselves as underdogs rather than as a title winning contenders! I quite remember, Brazil in japan-korea were neglected by the world media by been average though they had fabulous stars as RONALDO, rivaldo, dunga, Carlos etc and when RONALDO was asked by one reporter if the underdog tag fits them, he wisely said that, the lesser spotlight on them, ll make them win the WC and truthfully, they smashed all their opponents winning everything in that tourn! U know, the spotlight has been on Algeria and south Africa and that's good for us because, I know that, Ghana ll beat Algeria in the group stage! History ll repeat itself!!
