Published on: 23 July 2018

Plateau United forward Tosin Omoyele is close to leaving the Jos based side, who are champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League for Norwegian side Stabaek, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Omoyele only joined Plateau United this season from Nigeria National League side Osun United but his performance in the CAF Champions League and also for the B team of the senior national team of Nigeria caught the attention of Stabaek.

He arrived Norway on Sunday and will undergo fitness and conditioning test before putting pen to paper on a deal with the club, who are keen on bolstering their attack with the 21 year old.

Quick, strong and skillful he is viewed by many as one of the best strikers in the Nigeria Professional Football League ( NPFL) due to his abilities to score and also create goals for his teammates.

Already a member of the B team of Nigeria, he narrowly missed out on selection to the African Nations Championship early this year, but returned to the team for the 2-3 friendly loss against Atletico Madrid and showed the qualities that has made him a feared marksman in the NPFL.
