Excited Onyekuru Returns To Full Training With Anderlecht

Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru has resumed full training with Anderletch five months after sustaining a knee injury.

Onyekuru suffered the injury setback while in action for Anderlecht in a Belgian Juplier game on the 22nd December, 2017 and had to return to his parent club Everton in England for rehabilitation.

An excited Onyekuru took to his Twitter account to express his happiness about his return to full training with Anderletch on Monday.

“First day back in full training with my teammates. Back to finish what I started. 🙏🏿 #GodsPlan,” he tweeted on Monday. The former KAS Eupen striker scored nine goals in 19 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League for Anderlecht this season prior to his injury.

It remains to be seen if he will get a chance to play for Anderletch in the Belgian Pro League play-offs before the end of the season.

AOnyekuru’s return to full training could also see him compete for a place in the Super Eagles squad to the 2018 World Cup in Russia in June.
