Former Nigeria U23 invitee Peter Olayinka might be banned for four matches following his dismissal in the last round of matches in the Belgian First Division A against Sporting Charleroi on Boxing Day

The Zulte Waregem striker was red carded for the second time in his professional career in the 27th minute of the contest at Regenboogstadion (Waregem), a game his side lost 4-0 and Nigerian players Kingsley Madu and Aliko Bala were non-playing substitutes.

Olayinka received a straight red card for a harsh tackle on Sporting Charleroi midfielder Marco Ilaimaharitra.

The Royal Belgian Football Association (KBVB) has recommended that the Nigerian should be banned for four matches days and fined 1,400 euros.

If Zulte Waregem do not appeal the decision, the attacker will not be available for selection in games against  KV Mechelen (January 20), Standard Liege (January 23), Waasland-Beveren (January 27) and KV Oostende (February 4).

Olayinka, 22, has scored 5 goals (9 assists) in 22 appearances across all competitions this season.

He is spending the whole of this season at Zulte Waregem on loan from Gent.
