Ghana defender Harrison Afful was not included in Esperance’s squad for the CAF Champions League to give away the hint of his imminent departure from the club.

The 28-year-old is in the last six months of his contract – which means he can hold talks with any interested club.

Afful has been with Esperance for the past five years – during which period he has won five domestic league titles and a Champions League crown.

There is however a growing feeling within the club the skillful left-back is gearing towards the end of his successful stint in Tunisia.

Afful’s name was conspicuously missing in from Esperance’s squad presented to CAF for their upcoming Champions League campaign.

The club is desperate go find a buyer for the Ghana international before his contract runs out in the summer – where they will lose the player for free.

There is also rumours the club is secretly exploring the possibility of extending Afful’s contract by a year or two and sell him in the summer when his value is expected to rise after hopefully shining at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

He former Asante Kotoko loanee is currently in Ghana to join the Black Stars’ preparations ahead of the 2015 AFCON to be staged in Equatorial Guinea.
