Enyeama “Sad” At Failure Of “Talented” African Teams In Russia

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is sad to see all five African teams exit the 2018 FIFA World Cup at the group stages.

The Terangha Lions of Senegal were the last team from the continent to be knocked out after they went down 1-0 against Colombia on Thursday

Nigeria were four minutes away from booking a date with Argentina in the knockout stages before a late Marcos Rojo effort eliminated them from the competition.

North African teams Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia were all eliminated from the competition after two games.

“End of an ERA.what a generation of talented African footballers.4yrs is such a long time to wait for the next one.sad no African team made it through the group stage #FIFAWorldCup #Russie2018,” Enyeama tweeted on Thursday.
