Enyeama Continues His Impressive Form With 7th Clean Sheet In Lille Win

Former Super Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama kept his seventh clean sheet of the Ligue 1 season as ten man Lille recorded a 1-0 win over SM Caen on Saturday to condemn the hosts to a third successive defeat.

 

Lille are now four points above the Normandy side, who remain in the 18th spot, a relegation play-off place.

The 34 year old has made 25 appearances conceding 31 goals and has been yellow carded thrice.

Kelechi Iheanacho returned to substitute's bench of Manchester City at the John Smith's Stadium as the Citizens were forced to a replay away to Huddersfield Town. He has made 23 appearances scoring five goals in all competitions.

At The Den, Ahmed Musa made his fourth English FA Cup appearance for Leicester City who crashed out to Millwall on Saturday. The 24 year old Nigerian winger featured for the entire duration of the encounter. Wilfred Ndidi was an unused substitute for Leicester.

Carl Ikeme conceded his 30th and 31st goal in all competitions while in action for Wolverhampton Wanderers who lost 2-0 to Chelsea in the fifth round of the Emirates FA Cup at the Molineux Stadium. He has made 25 Championship appearance for Wolves this term. His Nigeria teammate, Victor Moses played the entire duration of the match for Chelsea.

In the League 1, Yakubu Aiyegbeni made his second appearance for Coventry, replacing Kwame Thomas in the 71st minute of his side's 2-1 home win over Gillingham who paraded Nigerian born player Adedeji Oshilaja for the entire duration of the encounter.

It was Coventry's fifth win of the season. They are still rock bottom of the log.

In Portugal, Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo returned to action after six week injury layoff as a 70th minute substitute for Feirense who lost 1-0 at home to ten man Boavista.

The former U-23 star came on for Cris Santos in the 70th minute of the defeat. The game was Etebo's 11th league appearance for Feirense who are placed 13th in the log with 25 points from 22 games.

In Germany, FSV Mainz coach, Martin Schmidt left out Leon Balogun from his side that lost 2-0 to Werder Bremen. Balogun has made 11 Bundesliga appearances this term for Mainz.

Elderson Echiejile was an unused substitute for Sporting Gijon who were spanked 4-1 at home by Atletico Madrid. He is yet to make his debut for the club since joining on a six month loan deal from Monaco in January.

Ighodaro Christian Osaguona scored his first Belgian Jupilier League goal for KV Mechelen who thrashed Lokeren 3-0 on Saturday. Osaguona made it 3-0 in the 76th minute of the game after coming on to replace Nicolas Verdier a minute earlier. He has played four games since arriving from Raja Casablanca.

In Belgium, Kingsley Madu made his eighth appearance for Zulte-Waregem in their 4-1 thumping of St.Truiden on Saturday.

Henry Onyekuru failed to add to his ten goal tally for AS Eupen who edged Kortrijk by a lone goal. Onyekuru has made 25 appearances for AS Eupen in the Belgian Pro division.

In Austria, Olarenwaju Kayode fired blanks for 90 minutes in Austria Wien's 4-0 spanking of Sturm Graz. Kayode has scored seven league goals this term in 21 games.

At the Yeni Rize Sehr Stadium, Godfrey Oboabona and Bright Edomwonyi made their 18th and fourth Turkish league appearance for Rizespor in Saturday's 1-1draw at home to Galatasaray. Nosa Emanuel Igiebor came on for Mehmet Akyuz with 28 minute left to play in the draw.

In Hungary, George Ikenne played for 90 minutes for Honved Budapest who defeated MTK Budapest 2-1 in a derby. Ikenne has made 15 appearances for Honved Budapest.
