Elderson Echiejile has returned to training with Turkish club Sivasspor after an injury layoff caused by a muscle injury in last month’s World Cup qualifier against Zambia.
He announced his return on his social media accounts.
He was forced out of the crucial World Cup qualifier in Uyo on October 7 after 79 minutes with a muscle injury and doctors said he will be out for at least four weeks.
The experienced 29-year-old left back has featured in seven league matches for his Turkish club, but his last appearance was on September 30 in a 3-1 home win over Antalyaspor.
He has therefore been left out of the forthcoming matches against Algeria and Argentina.
The former Sporting Braga star missed out on the 2014 World Cup in Brazil on account of a muscle injury.
