Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Dosu Joseph has hailed the vision of head coach Gernot Rohr in building a young team but  calls for addition of more experienced players in executing the plan,  Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The onetime Julius Berger custodian spoke with Completesportsnigeria.com on the need to balance the composition of team.

"The present team coach Rhor is building has a lot of promise," Dosu states.

"However, it will be best to have some older players in the team as we hope to qualify for the World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations.

"I believe we need a combination of both, not only the youth because experience is vital.

"We have tough matches in the qualifiers and the team need that stability and assuredness which the older players bring," the member of the 1996 Olympics gold winning Nigerian U-23 side concludes.

Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi, Chelsea's Victor Moses and Carl Ikeme were not part of the Eagles side that lost their opening 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game due to injuries.
