Dele Adeleye Joins Russian Side FC SKA-Khabarovsk

Top division Russian side SKA-Khabarovsk have confirmed the signing of 29 year old former Nigeria international defender Dele Adeleye on a deal which they refused to disclose the duration.

Adeleye will be having his third spell in Russia after his time with Anzhi and Kuban Krasnodar five years ago. He last played for Aktobe of Kazakhstan three years ago, where he made 29 league appearances and also scored a goal.

SKA-Khabarovsk announced his signing yesterday, and they will be hoping he help them beat the drop to the second division as they are presently placed at the bottom of the 16 team log.

After 20 games SKA-Khabarovsk have picked up just 12 points. No thanks to their defence line which has conceded 37 goals ?and they will be banking on Adeleye’s experience to plug the obvious issues they have at the back.

The Nigerian has played for Sparta Rotterdam of Holland, Metalurh Donetsk and Tavriya both in Ukraine? and also played for Greek side Ergotelis and OFI before his spell in Kazakhstan.

Rated as one of the best upcoming defenders in Nigeria few years ago. He has failed to build on his strong performance for the Nigeria U20, U23s and the senior national team during his formative years.
